Preliminary Decodified ….

There are mainly 3 Stakeholders in UPSC preparation at present apart from UPSC.

Let us Decode:

1> Aspirant – The major stakeholder – we don’t need to bring out the stakes here as one knows the investment in terms of precious time and money they have put in. Not only this, aspirants have given rise to micro-sector in and around areas near preparation hubs. No issues with it – IF it leads to proper learning or at best an honest effort.

2> Coaching Institutes: They are the knowledge providers and consist of both serious and non-serious one’s. Not to say, serious ones are doing well.

So far so good – where lies the problem then. We shall discuss this in the end.

3> Xerox  Institutes: They are intermediaries. This provides the aspirant with economical Xerox of study material.

Picture appears to be perfect but with an imperfect ending for many.  The problem is that many  of these failures could have been  successes  if one knew the art of clearing the examination. It’s a fact that no can make you clear this examination – but a difference can be made if you are told the truth and guided honestly. Because there is no single formula/strategy with which assure success. Every individual has different needs and capabilities, and that’s where WE come in to lend you a helping hand.

The point we want to emphasize is  “Of those few who get selected”. What they do differently:

1> They go to the best institutes for classes –which is Common to most aspirants – No edge.

2> Going to the best Test Series available – Not much variety available here – the problem is we makegood the enemy of best’. How does one decide which one is the best.  We believe that  if an institute does not give you an assessment of your understanding it will not  do justice to your needs and capabilities. Because that’s where the difference lies. If you know your shortcomings you can work on them and if you know your strengths you can build on them, but if you don’t know them – perfecting imperfections continues.

3> They do NOT take free Test Papers and Free online material/questions – They go and write the mock exam – Here the perception needs to be changed – one shells out lakhs on coaching but when it comes to Test Series, which actually decides your admission to MAINS or INTERVIEW – candidate become  complacent. Think!

A large section goes for economical XEROX papers – To be plain and precise-it does not do any good.

4> They give optimal number of tests – Unlike those who  give umpteen number of test ranging from 25-30, Because this exam is more about giving time for yourselves to evaluate your preparation and contemplating ,so as to come out with winning strategy   . The purpose of Testing is to simulate and provide priming for the main event.

“Getting 20-30 questions in direct or indirect form out of 3000-3500 questions is NO big deal”.

So our sincere request to every aspirant is NOT to take the easy route which does more harm than god. Rather we encourage you to take a bumpy road but  which promises to land you on the right track.

We have taken utmost care to include an appropriate mix of logical, factual and Current affairs questions. One has to learn the art of  reading  between the lines and has to develop  a sharp eye to reach the right answer.  At the same time we intend to provide a platform – to revise and put your knowledge to test.

Our Interest lies in YOU and your SUCCESS.

There are people for whom Prelims has become the biggest hurdle – and knowledge is Not an issue for them, because after a couple of years serious candidates have sufficient knowledge to clear the exam, be it Prelims or Mains.

Answer lies in - Art of attempting the Examination.
