NCERT + PIB + NEWSPAPER + GOVERNMENT Websites/Releases

Before we begin discussing the course and its nitty-gritties, let’s pause for a moment and try to dig a little deeper and what could be the better source to start than the UPSC CHAIRMAN, Shri Ajay Kumar Sir’s tweet. He clearly mentions that the answers to the questions of GS Paper I in preliminary exam are based on standard textbooks, Government Websites, Government press releases and reputed newspapers. Not only this, he says that these are the core sources on which serious aspirants mostly rely on.

So, it’s a common logic that if answers are based on above sources, then the questions in the paper will also be based on the above sources only. If most of the aspirants already know this simple truth, then what’s the difficulty in tackling the general studies paper I questions. Why we are bogged down by the questions in GS paper I and why it seems that the paper is out of the world. So much so that even the Interview appeared candidates and RANK holders find it difficult to clear prelims exam at times.

It is because of the simple fact that while we prepare, as an aspirant we have our own limitations and capacities to cover various standard sources and when we cant do it ourself, we have to depend on “OTHERS”.

Now the whole point is that – these “OTHERS”, are they doing justice with the responsibility that aspirants give them, do they take into account the seriousness of the matter that how important it is for an aspirant whose career is at the stake, do they really care for you ?

It is not bad to rely on some good institutes and faculties, but what’s important here is that in our times when the preparation has been completely glorified and commercialized, its difficult to find those “OTHERS”, who are doing their duty with utmost seriousness and ethically.

Note -> Class schedule is deliberately not made public so as to keep it creative and relevant.  There are aspects of the course like relevant NCERT portions coverage – where we will expect students to read them beforehand and other aspects like PIB, Government websites and releases which we will cover Suo moto.

With this in MIND – CHROME IAS has come up with an all round course wherein we will be covering standard sources which are generally missed by aspirants. At the same time, we do not want to overburden students with anything – so the program will be paced in an easy manner.

All those students, first timers or repeating candidates, who are struggling in UPSC PRELIMS PRELIMINARY EXAM can apply for the classes. We will be having limited students in the batch so as to encourage meaningful discussions and brainstorming.

With this program, our aim is to introduce aspirants with holistic knowledge, which help you to get the confidence and the acumen to solve questions in Upsc prelims exam.

Lets begin a new journey altogether with a positive mindset and a resolve that no matter what, we will not only give it all but also extract the best from this exam. We are confident of the results provided you all assure us of certain expectations that we have – hard work, consistency and a positive midframe.
