REASONS FOR LOSS OF CENTRAL POWERSÂ
- The two opposing Sides in the war were:
- The Allies or Entente Powers comprising of Britain and her empire, France, Russia, Italy, Serbia, USA, Japan, etc.
- The Central powers comprised Germany, Austria, Turkey, Bulgaria, etc.
- The central powers lose the war because of the following reasons:
- Failure of the Schlieffen Plan caused the central powers to face war on two fronts.
- Sea power of the allied forces played a decisive role leading to blockade of supplies for civilians of Central powers.
- Failure of German submarine campaign
- Entry of USA brought vast new resources to the Allies
- Political leaders of the allied powers such as Lloyd George were very competent.
- Germany was let down by her allies as Bulgaria was defeated by Britain and Austria was defeated by Italy.
