EXPLANATION –

A fertilizer is any organic or inorganic, natural or synthetic material added to soil to supply one or more plant nutrients essential to the growth of plants.

These fertilizers provide six macronutrients and eight micronutrients to the plants for well balanced growth. Six macronutrients are-Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P),Potassium (K),Calcium (Ca),Magnesium (Mg), Sulfur (S);

Eight micronutrients are-Boron (B), Chlorine (Cl),Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn),Molybdenum (Mo),Zinc (Zn) aand Nickel (Ni).

The macronutrients are consumed in larger quantities and that is why they make the bulk of the fertilizers. For sustained agricultural growth and to promote balanced nutrient application, fertilizers need to be made available to farmers at affordable prices.

In India, social media platforms already come under the purview of the Information Technology (IT) Act, the ‘intermediaries guidelines’ that were notified under the IT Act in 2011 and the Indian Penal Code.

There are also reporting mechanisms on these platforms, where they exercise discretion to ascertain whether a reported post is violating community guidelines and needs to be taken down.

Col Chewang Rinchen Setu is built over River Shyok, which connects Durbuk and Daulat Beg Oldie in Eastern Ladakh.

Recently, the Siachen Glacier area of Ladakh has been declared open for tourists by the Government of India. Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield was closed 35 years ago for civilians. The announcement came while the inauguration of ‘Col Chewang Rinchen Setu’.

Sikang River Bridge is built across Sikang river system in India. The bridge is constructed between Bomjir and Mali bosti in Arunachal Pradesh.

Zero Bridge crosses the Jhelum river in a roughly North-South direction connecting Sonwar in the north to Rajbagh in the South.
